For visitors who do not like to be a mere tourist and love exploring the unexplored, virgin destinations. Here are some places in India, that one must visit to get an insight into “THE UNDISCOVERED”.


1) Kodinhi


Kodinhi is a small village in the Malppuram district of Kerala. This village is mysterious for an unusual fact. It is famous around the world for having the highest twin ratio. There are approximately 2000 villagers, of which, 350 are twins.


2) Mattur


Mattur is a village near Shivamogga city in Karnataka. Mattur has a very rich culture and heritage. This richness reflects in the language that they speak. The language of communication in Mattur is Sanskrit. And this is unusual because Sanskrit is a complicated language. However, here, in Mattur, all villagers, right from vegetable sellers to school teachers to all the natives converse in Sanskrit.


3) Roopkund


Roopkund is a frozen lake located at a very high altitude in Himalaya in the Uttarakhand state of India. The climate is not suitable for habituation, however, its scenic beauty and panoramic landscape attracts many visitors for trekking and adventure activities. This lake has a depth of 2metres and it has captivated attention because of large number of human skeletons found here. When ice melts in summer, hundreds of skeletons of bones and skulls can be seen floating in the lake. Many assumptions have been made about these skeletons and their origin, but still no conclusion has been derived and it continues to be a mystery.


4) Chilkur Balaji Temple


Chilkur Balaji Temple is located 30kms from Hyderabad. It is famous for a very unique reason. The devotees believe that if a worshipper wishes to go abroad, his wish is fulfilled. Because of this, it is popularly known as Visa Balaji Temple or Visa God. Monetary donations are not accepted here.


4) Mandarmani, West Bengal


Mandarami is a beach resort in West Bengal state, at the northern end of Bay Of Bengal. This is a virgin beach as it is unexplored, because of which the climate and atmosphere is cool, calm, clean and soothing. It is also renowned as the largest drivable beach in India. The view of the sunrise and sunset from here is awesome.


6) Chopta Hill station


Chopta is a hamlet in the Uttarakhand state of India. It is popular as a tourist attraction because of its picturesque landscape. It also serves as a getaway to Tungnath for trekking lovers. You get to see panoramic view of snow-clad Himalayas from here. This place witnesses snowfall in winter.
