Well, sorry if I'm going to offend Pug lovers. The tiny mascot of Vodafone looks quite buddhu, in my opinion. But, he is cute :P The product that it endorses is good too but they have their own issues at times.

I usually pay my bills at the kiosk on Bandra Hill Road, Bombay. More than twice I've had to turn away because invariably one of the two machines don't work and if I'm lucky the other one works fine. Yesterday, too, there was a lady struggling to pay her bill. She paid Rs 1,000 of her Rs 1,800 and the machine stopped working! Poor thing was with her domestic help and a tiny baby. The she had to call the guard who did what I haven't a clue because I was bored of standing there for 10 mins. I'm gonna try again today.

At night, I called up the customer care to find out about international roaming SMS charges. One rather dumb girl answered who couldn't string one complete sentence in English; I wanted to start talking in Hindi instead but thought she'd be embarrasses so I continued. So, this chick refused to help me at all because the systems were being upgraded and she was a "newcomer" so didn't have adequate information. Uhh, what was the point in answering the call, again? I only wanted to know if the incoming texts are charged and she couldn't tell me that much. The quality of customer care people is dropping by the day. A lot of times I end up being confused they speak such utter gibberish.

This reminds me of Reliance. Their executives are impolite and ill-mannered. A friend had a connection that he wanted to disconnect and this executive asked him the reason. So, my friend told him he was dissatisfied with the services and found it expensive. Guess what the exec says, "Toh phir connection liya kyun tha? Ajeeb customer ho." My friend was infuriated and asked her name and she gave it only after thinking for a few minutes. So, obviously that was a fake name. Then when he asked to speak to her supervisor, she disconnected! Then the girl had the audacity to call back 2 days later and when my friend asked her name again, she hung up. SO, now he is not going to pay up and when someone calls, he or she is really going to have it from my friend.
