Some times we look at our surroundings to our infrastructure and feel sad about its bad condition, residences in unhealthy environment, increasing climatic unbalance & pollutions. We curse our government by throwing a spit on the mid of the road! The situation ends we catch up the bus & move away with herd of people. We throw our old ticket in the bus & buy a new one, offering conductor a note of Rs.100 for the ticket of 4-6. Bus conductor denies for the ticket, we fight with 100Rs in hand and finally achieve the goal. Meanwhile bus gets stuck in traffic; we curse government for narrow roads and turn to look at parked bikes, cars along the road. We show a hand to garage person located along the road, whose workshop lies actually on the road & urge him to keep the bike ready till the evening. We see the hawkers sitting along the footpath & people walking on road crunching the width of it from both sides, and looking at them we decide the menu for the lunch of next day. Meanwhile bus reaches at the stop at railway station where we get down. Instead of the bridge we prefer climbing over the broken fence of the railway track & rush to reach the platform across the track as a train arrives on the platform. We jump for it pushing people who are waiting for boarding down from the train & also getting in, without any consideration. We board in the train we slam a college going guy for standing on our foot. He apologizes but we abuse him. We keep on hawking for a fourth seat till time we get it & request the person to move aside to make a place for us. We push him a lil bit more to get the comfort. We see the overcrowded train, non-working fans & curse the government again. After some time something happens and train stops in mid way. We see people shouting against the management & destroying the infrastructure; we get join them in anger. After few hours train starts moving we get in again feeling proud of our doing. We again get a broken fourth seat & look at the broken fan & then we strike our words on government & management of train.
This is ‘we’… cause this is not one person… but a person can make a difference…blaming government is not only going to help but we have to support ourselves by not harming our environment thinking those applications are our own! We should take care of our roads areas & public transports. In India when a word ‘public’ gets associated with anything, it gives an unspoken right to every ‘public’ i.e. ‘us’ to just ‘misuse’ it. We don’t feel love for that thing cause its ‘public’ & not personal. This attitude can not be changed by government ‘we’ have to do it … we have to start caring for things cause they belong to ‘Us’. Then we have right to blame government for narrow & dirty roads, bad conditioned public transport & corrupted people.
