WITHOUT PREJUDICE BUT WITH DUE APOLOGIES
Once the men held a meeting under the banner :"STRONG MEN UNION"
There were discussions as to who was the strongest man who could face his wife and save his face as well. Every man claimed that they could not live I peace as they could never make their wives agree with them and they could not accept the slavery of their wives at all. The men presiding the meeting said "So there is no strong man who could live I peace with his wife."
A man from the crowd stood up and said "I am a man among you all and I have been living with my wife with all peace and harmony since oir marriage."
The other men did not agree with his claim. All shouted "It is impossible. If you could do so please let us know the tact"
The man came to the dias. He explained as to how he could live in peace in his married life without any differences and quarrels with his wife." He told:
" After our marriage ceremony we returned home. After all the normal rituals were over we came to our bedroom for our honeymoon." He paused for a moment to see the effect of his words upon the public. It was pin drop silence. He continued :
" I told my wife that I want to live peacefully with no nonsense. His wife said that she too did not like arguments and anything done agaist her wish. She told thsat her parents were living in full peace and so shall we be living. I asked her the formula". He again paused and continued :
" My mother and father-in-law hada agreement with each other. I also followed the same terms and conditions. It was agreed among us both that all the minor decisions shall be taken by my wife and all the major important decisions shall be taken by me. Both of us agreed."
"What were the minor and major decisions that were agreed upon?"
The man said , " The decisions as to what we shall eat and clothe, when and how many children to have, what and where the children will read, wear, marry and live, how were we to treat our relations-other family members- neighbours, the division of domestic duties, whom to invite or not to invite, whom to visit or not to visit, etc will fall under the minor decisions. The major decisions shall include our Country's relations with our neighbouring countries, world meets and problems, which party to be voted for in elections, etc would fall uder the major decisions."
We have been following the agreement and so till today we are living in peace.
The persons in the meeting had their laughs and went home telling each other "Let him follow his agreement and live in peace. We are better while fighting"
