It was in December 2013 that we bought this house in Adi Emerald(Inside Lahiri Homes) The landowner was Alapati Venkateswara Rao who looked like a thorough gentleman and happen to own a school called Global Indian International School. He had great things to say about the builder Adi Reddy owner of Srinilaya projects as well. Little did we know at that time that we are going to enter into a quagmire!
Starting from December 2013 every weekend used to go in looking at the house, getting disappointed with the progress and coming back to the rental house.
When the house was barely complete, LIC Housing Finance in collusion with the landowner released 95% payment without our consensus. We decided to hold back the 5% of the amount since the basic amneties like electricity, water, drainage, parking area(Note: The amneties promised were sw were incomplete but then the land owner and builder started revealing their true colours by black mailing us that if we do not release that 5% payment we are not going to get the possession of the house. We were surprised to know that we were not the only one in this condition he has done it to all the people who bought flats in this building.
Post getting the 5% payment they both have absconded and are not ready to complete this incomplete structure.
Adi Reddy has started another project in Bangalore called Adi Northlake. This review is written for the benefit of those people so that they are aware while buying it from this person and they don’t have to go through all that we have been through all this while!
