You will have to deal with a bunch of junior customer care people if you are doing a project with Brick & Bolt. Be prepared for phone calls with some junior folks. Your life will become horrible with phone calls. No escalation matrix within Brick & Bolt. You will not know anybody in the company except these unknown people from the customer care team.
Brick and Bolt works with contractors. They make you sign a 3-party agreement. You need to work with a contractor. Brick and Bolt has no control on the contractor. He works the way he wants. B&B does floor plan design, elevation design and arranges a site engineer. Apart from these 3 tasks, B&B does not do any other work. You can call it as a quality check company, rather than a construction company. The quality check is done after the work is done by contractor. If the contractor does a mistake, there is no way to rectify. Contractor or Brick and Bolt won’t bear the expenses for the mistakes done by contractor. Contractor runs the show with some workers. The site engineer is of no use at all. Mostly he will a junior guy whose job is to take some photos at the site. He hardly spends half an hour at the site in a week. He cannot speak to the contractor and his team. He just reports what is happening at the site to B&B. B&B has no escalation matrix. You will not see anybody apart from site engineer during the construction. Project manager and contractor will not visit the site. Their job is just to collect money. There is nothing like a project schedule. Everything is Jugaad done by contractor. The customer has to patiently wait for the completion date. The customer cannot do much once the project is in the hands of the contractor. You need to just wait and watch.
B&B business model is based on per sqft. Different packages are available. The contractor can make enough money in every package. My suggestion is that one should opt for a design first before getting into any construction. You can choose the components and material based on your budget. If you go with per sqft model, you will have to spend a lot of time later for component and material selection. The contractor will ask you to come to a shop and select the items from there based on the package of the project. If you are a working professional, you cannot roam around shops and select the components and materials. The contractor will show what he knows. The timelines are in the hands of the contractor. B&B cannot control the timelines. B&B cannot do interiors. They cannot work with other interior companies. The contractor will not work amicably with other companies.

If you still want to go with Brick & Bolt, please ensure that there is a clause mentioned in the agreement that the expenses will be borne by contractor if there is any mistake done by them because the work is actually done by a bunch of workers without any monitoring from the contractor or project manager.
