About 600 families book flat in Jains Green Acres an apartment project from premier construction group - Jains Housing. The handover these flats was supposed to be done in October 2006. Now it is going to be a year. Jain Housing is not ready to commit handover date and are not ready to pay compensation as per the agreement. They repeatedly promise a delivery date and never bother to keep the promise.
The CEO of Jain Mr Vijai recently promised in front of 300 prospective owners to finish the construction on 15th August. Today it is 16 August and as usual they havn’t kept their word. Sometime back Jain’s sent letters stating flat is ready for inspection.
When the owners went for inspection they came to know that not even 50 % is done. They have collected 90% of money from all the owners and are in no hurry to finish the project. Jains have many projects in Chennai. So prospective customers think twice before going for a Jains project.
