I bought an apartment in the Central Park West project from Lancor, a listed real estate company in Chennai. The delivery of the apartment was supposed to be in July 2008 and till date the delivery is not complete. We do not have a sign off on what is a `Completed Project’. for eg: the delivery of the apartment is different from the date of completion of landscaping is different from the date of completion of club house etc.
While DLF has drawn flak for its project in Chennai there are others who are simply getting away with such delays just because buyers do not have information on other flat owners etc. Other projects from the same builder are getting discounts of Rs 200-250/sq.ft. Are there other out there who like me are thinking of approaching a consumer forum to get delay compensation? If interested, please mail me and I will add you to the list of compensation seekers.
