I own a new toyota etios diesel model. Completed nearly 5000kms in 3 months and Car performs very well and mileage is around 15 to 16.5 kmpl in city and 18 to 22 kmpl in highways(depends on the driving style and speed). Really a nice commentary as 'QUALIS'. No car has life and resale value like qualis. Even old running like a gold in Indian roads.

Even I have a Esteem vxi 2007 model. It performs really good and no big problems so far. Easy to drive in city. A Maintenance free car. About mileage, In city I'm getting 11-13 KM per litre. Haven't tried in highways. But I expect 15-17 KM/L in highways. Proud to be the owner of Esteem.

Maintenance is very less when compared to Hyundai, ford, toyota etc. Company made a big mistake of stopping this model for releasing Swift Dzire. It is more stable than swift dzir read more...

Don't go for 95 Model, it is too old. If you aim to buy esteem alone, try for 2000 - 2007 model which would cost around from 1L to 2.2L(depends on KM ran and also the condition of the car).

80 K is a good deal but after 1 lakh km, engine needs to be overhauled. But Esteem's petrol engine is reliable one and I heard after engine overhauling also car performs good. If possible check about car's service history in the authorized Maruthi service center. With Car registration no you can get read more...
