I used the Oppo A57 ( 2016) for a long time, and back then, it was a decent phone. The design was premium with a metal body, and it felt good to hold. The 5.2-inch HD display was okay, but compared to today’s screens, it looks outdated.
Performance-wise, it was only good for basic tasks. The Snapdragon 435 processor could handle calls, social media, and light apps, but anything more, like gaming or multitasking, made the phone slow. The 3GB RAM was decent for that time but isn’t enough now.
The camera was average. The 13MP rear camera took decent photos in good lighting, but low-light performance was weak. The 16MP selfie camera looked good on paper, but photos weren’t as sharp as expected.
Battery life was decent, lasting a full day with normal use. However, it didn’t support fast charging, so it took around 2-3 hours to charge fully. Another issue was the lack of software updates, making the phone feel outdated over time.
Final Verdict
If you had this phone back in 2016-2017, it was a good option for casual use. But in 2024, it’s too outdated for daily use. If you still have it, it’s probably time for an upgrade.
