I purchased a 55" Toshiba 4K Ultra Smart TV in October 2022. Within 2 years, the display has conked. Since it is under warranty, I called up their toll-free customer service on 10th December 2024( Request number 0214364753).
They said that I would receive a call within within 48 hours, and the problem would be resolved.
Today, it is the 15th of December, and I have yet to hear from them.
I have been calling up customer service every day, and the only thing they tell me is that the matter has been put on priority.
I wished to speak with a senior executive, but my request has always been declined. The reason being that they are busy and they will call back. That call has never come.
Since the television is under warranty, I can not even call another technician.
Sadened and angered with the situation, the quality of a brand like Toshiba, and their pathetic customer service.

Following up on the same. On Sunday the 15th December 2024, I received a call from a person who introduced himself as a Toshiba technician and said that he would be coming to my place to attend to the complaint. After confirming he said that your TV is not under warranty and that charges would be levied. I told him that the TV is under warranty and at the time of logging the complaint with Toshiba customer service, the same was confirmed by them. The service guy said that he has received a message that the TV is not under warranty and that he would not be able to attend and disconnected the call abruptly.
Now, on Monday the 16th December 2024, I called up customer service to check on the status of my complaint. CS tells me that the complaint has been closed by the service technician because I did not agree to the payment of service charge.
My question to you is,
Do I not receive a message if the complaint has been closed?
Why did the service technician receive a service order from Toshiba that the TV is not under warranty, when the record says otherwise?
Now, I have had to log a fresh complaint(Request number 214676447) on 16th December 2024. A good 7 days have passed since the last complaint. Now I do not know how many more days these people will take in attending to my case. PATHETIC!
