I had planned my honeymoon in Gangtok and was looking for best hotel. After few reviews and some random photos, I liked Nor Khill but was not sure how it will turn out. Lukily it was my best experience of the life. I will add few points which may not have been covered previously.
First this is costliest hotel in Gangtok, but worth its value. Price is approximately 4.5-5K / day for suite or a room depending on which time of the year you go. In general people in Gangtok are very nice, but staff at Nor Khill I felt was the best. Room are spacious with nice decore of old and new. They do have hot and cold water, bath tub but don’t expect them to be like 5 star city hotel. Food is excellent and is served in great style. You feel like a prince with authentic silverware and spot less decore and very authentic and old traditional ambience. They have very nice sitting area outside along with small garden overlooking football stadium, but in my view that is the best place you can sit in Gangtok. It is just awesome in night.
If you plan to enjoy and live a dream, stay once.
