After a few delays, it seems Nextbit finally came through and made good on its promise to release the Robin smartphone in India. After a successful Kickstarter campaign, the cloud-focused device is now out for the general public - sales are expected to kick off exclusively on Flipkart on May 30 for INR 19, 999 or about$297. This includes both the Mint and Grey color options. It is worth noting that the handset has already been available on Amazon for a few weeks with international shipping, so you can check that out if you live outside India.
If you are not in the know about the Robin, it offers a 5.2-inch IPS 1080p display, 3GB RAM, a Snapdragon 808 SoC, 13MP plus 5MP camera combo and a 2680 mAh battery pack. But the key selling feature of the handset is its rather unconventional cloud approach to storage.
Instead of opting for more spacious internal storage and an SD card, the device has 32GB of local capacity and 100GB more inside the proverbial cloud. The idea is that any apps that dont see a lot of frequent use will be offloaded to the web and then recovered upon request. Nextbit promises that the whole process will be seamless, but we still cant help but wonder how well it will thrive on the emerging India market and its less than ideal network coverage and internet speeds.
now lets come to the actual seen:-
review buy one of the buyers
To start with, the phone comes only with a USB type C cable and NO Adaptor, yes you will need to buy an adaptor to charge your phone out of the box. No included headphones too. The first thing that happened to me was the phone didnt detect my airtel simcard. Connected over WiFi and only after the first update was installed, the airtel network tower appeared. Not even a day of using the phone, and I observed the bottom speaker is not working. Tried to play songs video and tried all settings, all in vain. The top speaker is just not competent to perform all by itself and most of the times I am missing my alarms and calls because of the speaker issue. Have been reading on the internet many robin users are facing this speaker issue and company is trying hard to fix by releasing new software updates but in my case the bottom speaker is just dead. Next is VoIP call, calls over WhatsApp you hear as if they R distorted from the top speaker and its just not comfortableto use this phone for WhatsApp / Viber calling. Next is the battery issue.
The battery backup is extremely poor, and even with my most minimum use of the phone, the battery never lasted even half the day.
Make sure u have a power bank and always charging connected if you still want to buy this phone. Coming to camera, its an underperformer too, especially the front cam. Have seen low budget phone cameras perform better than its selfiecam. Fingerprint scanner is good but could have been better as its not always unlocking the phone, with the saved finger print. My verdict: this phone has good specs but definitely not worth buying for INR 20000
Lastly the phone misses on the display bar showing what mobile data network you are connected to - there is no E, 3G, H or H+ indication next to mobile tower. So keep guessing whether or not u have mobile data and what speed connection u are getting?
Pros: fast processor, cloud storage, average fingerprint reader
Cons: Audio output, camera, battery, poor grip

I had pre-ordered this.
Got it a bit late, due to delay in launch.
Form factor is good. But it looks a bit long because of two speakers.
The speaker near the microphone was not working properly to had to return it.
The camera is below average.
Also the battery life is very bad.
Rest all seems decent for a 20K phone.
so thats all guys judge the way you can
acc to my opinion you should wait for a while so that nextbit produces the stable phone .like these are sort of nightlies with many problem
