I am utterly appalled by the sheer lack of ethics and customer respect shown by HDFC ERGO Life Insurance. What I experienced is not just negligence its corporate rot at the core.
After being a policyholder, I reached out for a simple request: to increase my sum insured. Thats when the mask came off. The moment I asked for higher coverage, the communication abruptly stopped. My follow-up emails, renewal queries completely ignored. They went radio silent. It was crystal clear: they have no interest in serving customers beyond the initial premium.
Worse, after I left a review exposing their unprofessionalism, they had the audacity to call me in an attempt to pressure and coerce me into deleting it. Yes, you read that right instead of addressing the issue, they tried to bully me into silence.
This isnt just bad service. This is a blatant abuse of power and an open display of a toxic, unethical culture. When a life insurance company, which exists to protect and serve during lifes most critical moments, behaves this way you know something is deeply rotten.
AVOID HDFC ERGO at all costs.
They ghost you when you need legitimate service.
They ignore renewal applications if you ask for better coverage.
And worst of all, they try to suppress honest feedback with intimidation.
I urge anyone considering this company: Run in the opposite direction. Your money, time, and peace of mind deserve better. A company that cant handle transparency or criticism is unfit to be in the business of trust and life protection.
