Techno-Thriller Of The Decade...

It takes a brave man to find fault with, ’’Jurassic Park.’’

And indeed, it is exceedingly difficult to do so. It’s been nearly fifteen years since this novel was first released to become a global best-seller, & I can honestly say I haven’t read a better work in this genre since, from Crichton or anyone else.

Characters like John Hammond, Alan Grant, Ian Malcolm & Robert Muldoon are tremendous slaps in the face to those who question Crichton’s ability for character development.

The seamless manner in which the novelist blends vivid technical detail with stunning action, all the while lacing the adventure with the typical Crichton overtones of western attitudes toward biotechnology is utterly breath-taking.

Any reasonable reader won’t be able to put this one down. One of those novels you can come back to years later & enjoy all over again. A compelling ride from start to finish. My only criticism is the time it takes to get going. However this one’s well worth the investment.

Further, I would recommend the sequel, ’’The Lost World’’, which again is excellent reading, & even faster than the original.
