Portable bluetooth speakers are not really as much popular in India as in West. However, this niche product has started to mark its foray into the Indian Market as well. Last month, I myself purchased a ZOOOK Rocker Armor XL and must tell you that it is worth the price.
The speaker is advertised as being rugged, which means it can withstand the occasional drop-off hands and does not get tainted if you throw it around here and there in your room. The speaker is all-black that accentuates its rugged appearance. It is, however, larger than your average portable speaker. It would not find into your pocket.
The front and the back edges are made of tough plastic and the speaker griller at the front is adorned with a multi-color LED. The LED display indicates the battery status. At the top of the speaker, you get access to various options like track seek/skip, volume up/down and call accept/play/pause button. The power button at the top also doubles up as the Bluetooth pairing trigger.
The speaker has a set of ports. It also comes with a microUSB port and the 3.5mm audio jack shielded by a flap. There are two 50mm dia subwoofers and a 45mm high frequency speaker, which offers a decent 2.1 channel output. There is also a built-in mic in the speaker that helps you in taking and making calls, in case your phone is not with you.
Overall, it is one of the must-have portable bluetooth speakers. The price-tag of the product is slightly higher, however, you can have a deal at certain retail outlets.
