I want to inform you that do not make a mistake of purchasing Panasonic refrigerator otherwise you will shed the tears during summer.
I live in Chandigarh and I purchased Panasonic fridge(NR-BW465VNX1) on 28th Jan 2013. It didn’t give proper cooling during first summer. During second season the cooling substantially reduced and my food started getting spoiled which made me to report customer care. Unfortunately it was over 12 months due to which I had to pay for engineer’s visit. Engineer told me that gas need to be changed as it has choked. I paid Rs 3300 for gas charges but still the problem persists. He came after few days and broke the PCB component due to his own fault by putting fridge on manual mode. He brought the new PCB next day but it didn’t make any impact and still cooling didn’t improve.
I called customer care of Panasonic and I was shocked to experience that they don’t even have technical staff to assist customers on phone. I spent Rs 51000 on this Panasonic fridge and I don’t even get service worth Rs 25000. I have to keep my water bottles in freezer to get cold water. I want to conclude that Panasonic fridge doesn’t have efficient compressor for hot climate like in India as it could only work at hill stations or cold European countries. I wish I had purchase Sharp, Bosch or whirlpool refrigerator.
