Bought the Kenstar Microwave Oven (different model than listed above..apprently all have similar problems) just about a month back from Hypercity Mall in Bangalore. Stopped working in just over a month.
Called up Customer service. Customer service says the service engineer will visit in 24 hrs. No joy. after 2 days the service engineer shows up. pokes around the microwave oven with a screw driver , looses two screws, luckily it starts working and he leaves. One day later the microwave stops working again.
Same story again
Called up Customer service. Customer service says the service engineer will visit in 24 hrs. No joy. this time after 3 days the service engineer shows up. Throws up his hands and says he cannot figure out what the issue is maybe the ’magnetron’ is faulty. Says he will come back tomorrow with replacement part to fix.
24 hours later, no service engineer
48 hours and multiple phone calls later. No joy.1 week and almost 20 calls to the cell center later, only one response"sir we have intimated the service center to look into it asap...apologies for the inconvenience". 10 days a ’lost count of calls’ later. Still no joy. Still Waiting. Will update if there is a change in scenario
Bottomline: Keep away from Kenstar products. The products are lousy and service is pathetic.
