Mission Mangal Story: Story of the movie revolve around the true events happened in Indian Space history. An enthusiast unit of Indian scientists at ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) takes the extraordinary responsibility of conducting a successful launch of a satellite into the orbit of Mars within a maiden attempt.
The movie Mission Mangal based on the true story highlights the efforts taken by the Indian Scientists at ISRO. In reality, the mission is held by the name "Mangalyaan Mission" which was launched on 5 November 2013. And in the year 2014, India became the first country in the world to break many obstacles and reach the distant planet in its maiden attempt. This struggle is well portrayed on the silver screen with the help of an amazing star cast.
Akshay Kumar who is constantly playing the patriotic role in his recent films went the right choice for this movie too. He played the role of Rakesh who led the mission for ISRO. But because of some unexpected technical issues, the rocket diverts towards the earth where Rakesh played by Akshay Kumar takes the responsibility of failure. This scenario happens in front of mission director Tara played by Vidya Balan. After that, they team-ups and decide to fight the odds and put India ahead on the orbit of Mars. Handling all the pressure and difficulties Rakesh and Tara, make a team of junior scientists from ISRO with the purpose of settling the Mars Mission into space within 24 months.

The powerful script and hard work of actors to portray the Mars Orbiter Mission team, helped this movie to put an impact on every Indian. Mars Orbiter Mission team comprises of five strong women played by Vidya Balan as Tara, Sonakshi Sinha as Eka, Kirti Kulhari as Neha, Taapsee Pannu asKritika and Nithya Menen as Varsha backed by Parmeshwar played by Sharma Joshi and Ananth by HG Dattatreya.
Writer-director Jagan Shakti's visualization & narration helped to deliver this scientific and dramatic experiment in a simplified manner towards the Indian audiences. Mission Mangal is the directorial debut of Jagan Shakti, helped by co-writer R Balki. The overall execution of the movie was great.
Mission Mangal Box Office Collection has already crossed the Rs. 100 crore club.
