Born at Engandiyoor, Trichur District.Left to UAE for migration in early seventies. Was a staff of Reuters Bulletin, the first Englsih newspaper in UAE, based in Sharjah. Stayed in Sharjah about five years and left to Abudhabi to join British Bank of the Middle East, now Hongkong Bank in 1975. Was an Officer of Honkong Bank for several years untill 1998, when decided for a self retirement to return to India. ACTIVITIES: A social worker of Indian Community. Associated with India Social Centre, Malayalee Samajam and Kerala Social Centre in Abudhabi. A prime founder member of ABU DHABI SAKTHI. Associated deeply in installing ABUDHABI SAKTHI AWARD now a prominent award of Kerala literature scene. Wrote columns regularly for Desabhimani newspaper in eighties about Middle east which was always a crisis area. During the Gulf war acted as a reporter to Desabhmani. In 2002, wrote Dubaipuzha memmoirs about UAE life, which is still a best seller in its 12th edition. Published Marubhoomiyuda Jalakangal articles in the preceding year. Transalted 2 works of Gabriel garcia Marquis The Chronicle of a death Untold, and Inocent Erindira to Malayalam. In 2010 published a Novel Kadalirambangal (the rumblings of the sea). The founder or founder member of Green Books based in Trissur and now well-known in kerala publishing scene .
