YES or NO. Yes, because it will help you to understand the growth of guardians of galaxy team and their relationship. According to first part Nebula and Mantis wasn’t on the team. And the regrowth of Groot. The relationship of Star lord and Gamora. And other factors too. No, Because like the first one this part is about any infinity stone. I suggest you to watch it first before watching Infinity war, otherwise you will miss the plot, humor and maybe the logic of one’s action.
Yes, it has characters from Guardians of Galaxy 2, but the plot is not too much linked to it. I didnt watch GoG 2 before watching infinity war, but I could follow the plot. The only plot that connects GoG 2 and this movie is Gamora’s and Nebula’s hatred towards Thanos and how they fight him. Groot has an important role with a crucial support to Thor(watch the movie to know how Groot also has a big role in the fight).
