Hi! I'm Vishnu Srivastava. I am an Indian born on January 3, 1941 in Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal. I hold a Master's Degree in English literature and a post-graduate diploma in Business Management from the University of Mumbai. I have specialised in Marketing Management. In April 2000, I underwent the Art of Living Basic Course and in December 2000, the Advance Course organised by Vyakti Vikas Kendra of the Art of Living Foundation International (a UN NGO) founded by Yoga Shiromani, the Supreme Teacher of Enlightenment Sri Sri Ravi Shankar propounding the practice of Sudarshan Kriya. Jai Guru Dev!!! I have a loving wife Sudha. My son Manish, MCA and MBA (Bradford, UK) is a software engineer. He is a Project Management Professional (PMP) certified by the global Project Management Institute, USA. Having worked for 11 years in various MNCs in Singapore, he has rejoined NIIT Technologies Ltd., Bangalore as an Account Manager (Group Head). He and my daughter-in-law Juhi have been instrumental in developing the web site www.management-mantra.com for me. Juhi too was an IT Manager- Major Accounts with Satnam-IT Solutions, Singapore. Earlier, she was a senior faculty in APTECH. They have a naughty son Yash, whom I lovingly call Gulaoooji. Not to forget my loving dog late Caesar and the present Caesar Jr. My daughter, Sharmila, also a software engineer, was a senior faculty with NIIT. She is married to Mr. Neeraj K. Lall, B.E (Electrical), and Regional Manager with the ABB Ltd., Bhopal. They have a sweet and talkative daughter Vishakha whom I fondly call Gullababa. Having put in about 40 years service in various capacities in the National Productivity Council of India (NPC), an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, I retired on January 31, 2001 as a Senior Consultant. I organized and conducted many seminars, training programmes, consultancy and research projects in the areas of marketing, salesmanship and HR. I acted in a Films Division documentary 'A Day with Gopal'. During my tenure I was posted in New Delhi, Bangalore, Kanpur, Mumbai and Patna several times. The Economic Times and the NPC Productivity Journal have published several of my professional articles. I also reviewed several books. I am available as a Freelance Management Consultant and Trainer. I shall be happy to share my experience and expertise with people. Currently running an NGO (registered as a Society) named Management Mantra Samiti channelising its activities through its gateway the Management Mantra Training & Consultancy.
