I personally feel that there's shouldn't be diesel version of this car, or rather any car. Its better if diesel is mainly used for commercial purposes so that its consumption is reduced thereby helping to keep prices low of all the commodities. Very true. Even I have a SBI credit card with no annual fees. Still every year, the fee is charged to me, and I have to call them up to revert it back.
Almost 6 years and still using the same vehicle with equal satisfaction. Driven more than 50,000 km without any major problems. I bet the vehicle is THE BEST in its category and no latest models can match its standards.
So your wish is finally coming true in the form of Aria - a new model by Tata :)
