Why do most of the websites not allow COD [Cash on Delivery] option? As its more reliable as compared to other payment modes.

COD is not allowed on big items like washing machine, fridge etc. because they are costly and transportation charges are also included as company don’’t wants to risk it’’s valuable item without payment.

A payment gateway is a channel that processes credit cards, debit cards, net banking, and other electronic payment methods to make a secure transaction. Amongst the several payment gateways, few names are – CCAvenue, BillDesk, PayU, and others.
Mostly i prefer COD option as it is most secured payment option only on big purchases like of mobiles, TV, fridge,etc. but on some items like mobile covers etc. i have no problem with online payment options.
Net Banking as its more secure as compared to CC/DC or UPI ...!
