Yes, Grandfather discovered a little tiger-cub and brought him home. The tiger cub was named Timothy by the grandmother and was brought up by milk in a feeding-bottle which was followed by more tempting food. Timothy grew steadily less friendly when he attained the size of a full-grown retriever.

Grandfather loved animals. One day he saw this attractive monkey with a tonga. The writer’’s grandfather purchased a monkey named Toto from a tonga driver by paying five rupees to him. The tonga driver used to keep the monkey tied to a feeding trough . The monkey looked out of place there. The novel named ‘Grandfather’s private zoo’ is the collection of different story tales that describes the natural and personal behaviours of the animals. In the tale, toto is the monkey which is shown as a bit mysterious and mischievous as well. There was even a crow which is known for its kleptomaniac behaviour.
