Dark comedy, also known as Black Comedy, is a comic style that makes light of subjects that are normally considered serious or painful to discuss. This species of comedy is so called because of an element of cynicism and bitterness in it. Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure is the best example of dark comedy.

Jimmy complain about the book reviews sound the same, that the papers provide no intellectual stimulation. He becomes upset that nobody is listen6 to him when he speaks and he steals the newspaper from cliff.
