10 Things I hate about you...This film is based on Shakespeare’s , The taming of the shrew, and throughout the film direct quotes are used to emphasis what is going on.
It is a film that is based in youth America in a typical American school with it’s many different cultures and friendship groups. Like , taming of the shrew, the film revolves around two sisters one is sweet and innocent and the other Kat, is very independent and fierce. With a very protective father Bianca is not allowed to date until her sister Kat does something, which seems impossible. Bianca and her friends put a plot together to try and get Kat out and the story carries on from there.
The film itself is very funny and has a very good soundtrack, it has very many little quirky things that you will only pick up on if you watch the film more then once, which makes the film itself even more enjoyable the second time around then the first. The acting is good and although it is very American there are some very nice little British things in it. In all it is a very good film and one that will be seen again and again.
The story was obviously good and the actors although less well known were still good at their roles. Although I would say that it was not a in-depth film it was a good laugh with the girls.
