In February 2013, I came across this site https://100bestbuy.com, where they had advertised that by paying Rs. 699/-, one can become eligible for a draw for Samsung Galaxy Grand mobile. And, if we happen not to be selected in the draw, then they will give 100% cashback in the form of points, which can be used to buy any item in their site.
So, I went ahead and paid Rs. 699/-. Around 6th March 2013, I got a call from them, saying that I need to deposit another Rs. 3000/- in order to be eligible in the draw. I refused. The caller immediately disconnected the call. Later, I tried several times reaching them on their number (080 - 67536400), but I was unable to reach them. So, I thought of redeeming the points that I had in my account.
I thought of buying a shirt which was listed at Rs. 599/-. But, the catch here was that I had to pay Rs. 75/- as shipping and delivery charges. Finally, when I received the shirt, I realized that it wouldn’t have cost more than Rs.200/- in any garment stores. Also, I have 175 points right now in my account, which is a loss to me.
So, my advise to all you readers - please don’t believe in such scammster websites (I guess there are more such ones E.g., svaiza). They are cheats and fraudulent sites. They exist primarily to loot public money.
