I signed up for an annual membership in Jan 2014. Today is the last day of the year(31 Dec 2014). The Bangalore center at Indiranagar shut down suddenly in March and members were told that they would get a refund soon.
A year of following up with this organization through phone, emails etc has led to nothing. The refund of nearly 12, 500 rupees is a distant dream. I close this year by informing everyone about the unprofessional business that 136.1 is running in the name of a modern yoga studio.
I will not talk about the quality of service I received for the 2 months of classes I attended, simply because the exercise of trying to get my money back has left a sour taste in my mouth.
I would like to also inform everyone that I am not the only one who faced this situation.
Many others have not received their refunds, and the organization seems to have ploughed the money from the Bangalore memberships into sustaining what clearly looks like an unprofitable business with incorrect revenue projections (this is not based on any insider information, but the little knowledge of finance that I have).
Please be warned that this could happen to you next, and join 136.1 at your own risk.
