Intelligent thriller

Do you believe in supernatural? Do you believe in Ghosts and spirits? Does life after death really exist? Do you believe in some unseen evil forces which may be haunting you? If you want more thrill to know about them, 13 B is the answer.

I am a horror movie fan but it really take guts out of me to see them in theatre. When I opted to see this one, I wasnt sure if I would be able to see it full or leave in between. The moment movie started till the end, I was glued to my seat, not because of the terror but because of the interesting and unbelievable presentation which forces you to sit still and watch. Its an intelligent way of presenting what is called as thrill and chill, to hook on to your minds. The suspense is so much so that you would bite your nails to find out what would come next.

Plot - I still feel many of you would not have seen the movie and thats why I wouldnt be going in detail here, atleast not revealing the CLIMAX.

The story is about a joint family of 8 people, who have just shifted to their new flat numbered as 13 B. The events that starts to happen there on daily basis, catches attention of the younger son, Manohar( Madhavan) and then he tries to solve the mystery before it gets too late.

Performances-

R Madhavan - as Manohar. He has given his one of the best performaces till date, according to me. He has been real and close to life. He has brilliantly portrayed his state of mind and the unusual happenings around him. Acted very well and has looked good too. I simply adored his look in the song, Crazy Mama at the end . Kudos to him for his role.

Neetu Chandra - as Priya, Madhvan’s wife. She is just decent and so- so. Well done, nothing too catchy from her or should I say, in between so many roles, just enough to have fit in. With her less make-up, she has looked good too.

Other actors like Dhritman Chatterjee, Poonam Dhillon, Murli Sharma and Sachin Khedekar have done good jobs as well. Also Deepak Dobriyal has acted brilliantly in his small role. He has once again proved that he has a long way to go.

Music* - Well, not many songs, in fact the romantic song betweenMadhavan and Neetu was a waste but by the time you realise it, it getsover so did not harm much.

The last song, Crazy Mama is a treat to watch, just for the guy:)

Overall, if you want to look for a movie without those ugly ghosts, tantrik babas, some kaala jaadu, some voo-doo stuffs, then go andwatch this one. Am sure you would feel the thrill and the chills hereand there and would not come out disappointed for sure.

Brilliant cinema once again proves itself and I bet it has a long long way to go.
