13B; Wll the name itself starts with double 13’s(when break up B -I-3). And it tells you what the movie is going to portray. It tells about a happy joint Indian family. two brothers , both working and taking a joint loan to buy the house.
But then this house they buy is haunted.Everything’s fine at the starting. good news galore for the family members. Then there’s this blind men and his dog. Nice character! but there’s problem a milk gets sour every day , r madhavan’s new phone takes awry photos of him when he’s clicked inside the house and in the mandir no one is able to punch in a nail for the Bhagwan’s photos. quite queer rite.
Madhavan thinks too. he gets sppoky. but can’t tell this to his family because if he says so , his mother a passionate k-serial follower and his wife and bhabhi n all will force him to leave the house . but he can’t do that. he has taken a loan for the house. rite?
So he keeps things to himself. the lift never works for him. he has to walk all the 13 floors. but then things get spookier. at 13.00 hours or 1pm every week day there’s a soap on channel 13( rite) "SAB KHARIYAT HAI" . this soap’s story line is exactly the same as his family’s.
He gets spooky. whatever happens in the soap happens in his real life with his family members. things turn ugly and a lot of other stuff happens too (you did not think that i’ll be narrating the whole story for you! rite?)and at the end a happy ending..
The movie has a nice storyline. nice scary characters. and none of the Ram gopal Verma’s loud calling bells weird Chowkidars or any b grade stuffs. it has a nice happy go lucky pace and its chilly suddenly. it does not show BHOOT but it instills a psychological fear for the unseen. a mental fear for unlucky numbers. but throughout the movie there’s only the real character doing things.
Camera work is good and nice humor touch is also infused smartly.The plot never comes too weak or guessable and keeps you stuck making you guess whats the real reason. Or what happened in the past? Its a real refresher in the horror category and film nicely made.
