Now to start with when you watch this movie you are bound to say "OH NO NOT AGAIN"......The same old bollywood style love defeats evil, scenes and setting liberally lifted from dracula and exorcist, total London settings but the story is happening in a place called Palanpur and to top it all the absolutely unnecessary and horrible item number by who else but the ugly lady Rakhi sawant.................
But before you totally push this movie off lets think.......the idea of a horror movie is to spook you......give you atleast one sleepless night........believe me 1920 does give you plenty of such moments.........
The movie settings is an absolute bulls eye for a movie of horror genre.........A magnificient castle, beautiful landscapes, mist covered forests, half crumbled churches.......those itself gives you an eeire feeling............
the first half of the movie is slow paced with some half baked emotional drama, the couple’s intial nights in castle and beginning of unnatural events.......but it sets up the base for a real spooky second half........( although the flash back could have been much better, it was too damp for a revenge plot )
A special mention for the heroine Adah Sharma.......a perfect cast for the role........althougth she starts with a hiccup (especially in emotional scenes) she simply soars high as the possessed girl......Hero Rajneesh Duggal is decent........the supporing cast lacks life I feel............
But neverthless the movie attains what it sets out to achieve.........making you clutch the arm chair or digging the nail into the flesh of the person sitting next to you :) If u love horror movies its a must watch.........dont criticize it too much......after all horror movies are meant to beat logic and the cliches can be forgiven........just go watch it no second thoughts :)
