Most important suggestion: DO NOT GET BORED WITHIN AN HOUR. HAVE PATIENCE
A true horror movie! Ram Gopal Varma should learn from this. Of course, Vikram Bhatt movie so there is nothing to lose your hope.
The story begins when a couple(husband architect) arrives at the haweli as he is given a contract to destroy the building and to build a 5 Start Hotel. The story is good and is enhanced by direction of Vikram Bhatt. The entire set-up and enviornment is created of ancient times since the story is of 1920.
Adah is very beautiful and makeup makes her gorgeous. It is really observable that the same gal who is then ruled by evil spirit turns horrible! Many of us then believe that makeup can do miracles! Acting wise, she is okay, the husband(Rajneesh) is also quite bearable. Raj Zutshi was expected to do better and could do nothing to help her out.
Though, many scenes are inspired by the evertime horror movie Exorcist, bollywood film like this is appreciable. Some of the movie scenes during the evil attack on the girl makes us to laugh! Yes, not by any slapstick way but the way Adah is told to utter. Something like’tik, tak, tik, tak’ and’tes tes tes’ etc! You will understand when you see the movie.
The audience was notorious and many of them were shouting and just making noise adding some comments to each of the dialogue was being delivered! Well, I believe people who shout/laugh and pass comments FEAR MORE. It is body’s natural way to defend yourself; when you shout, you get less afraid lol!
The sound track was not so good(as compared to Raaz), no question of choreography! The makeup and costumes are very appreciable.
Yes, this is the movie that could have a so called’Phoonk’ Contest! This is the movie, probably, difficult to watch all alone in cinema hall! RGV, I may suggest you to make such a movie than create a ballyhoo!
One mistake probably: The evil spirit, as said in the movie, kills one who even thinks to destroy the palace. There is no link to this with actual story that is shown! Moreover, the girl(Adah) never wanted anyone destroy the building then why spirit caught her! The evil spirit should trouble husband who was given a contract to build hotel from ground zero!
