This movie is banned in my country .I wasn’t surprised since every movie discuss the relation between India and Pakistan will be banned immediately but I was surprised when I discovered that it is banned also in DUBAI . I searched and searched for the movie and finally I bought it from LONDON . when I watched the movie I was surprised and you will know why I am surprised. the movie discuss the relationship between hindu and muslims but if you watch it carefully you will find that you can reflect it on us ( Arab world). if you are Arabian the first thing will come to your mind while watching the movie is IRAQ. YES what happened in India 1947 between Hindu and Muslims is happening now between SUNNA and SHIIE’A. in the movie the Hindu and Muslims lived together in peace until they started to hear rumours of dividing the country into parts, the same is happening in Iraq. Sunna and shie’a lived together but now there is rumours of dividing the country into parts .
There is a brilliant scene for Aamir khan when he was waiting for his sister to arrive , and when the train finally arrived he found his sister and all the passengers were killid . The spark of hate, revenge and anger is ignited inside him. This scene is happening every single day in IRAQ .
There is another very touching scene in the movie with a great message, it is between aamir khan and Nandita Das , when aamir asked nadnita to marry him.He said very important thing that we should think about it, he said , hindu , muslim , sikhs. are all the same , they have animals inside them, they are speaking in the name of the religion but it is not true, they are taking revenge from each other in the name of the religion. Yes it is true
The movie is excellent , wonderfull treatment from the director. All the actors are excellent except Aamir Khan he is more than excellent. his scene when he saw the dead bodies is mind blowing. he acted without saying single word!!!
Finally I am about to envy you with your film industry but don’t worry I will always say ( Mashaallah) ;)
I wish that bollywood can speak arabic so that we can see movies such as this movie. I wish we have great actors such as AMITABH BATCHAN and Aamir Khan.
So bollywood can you speak Arabic? ;))
