Thanks for asking this query, even I used to be in dilemma over which refrigerator to buy till I did some scouting around, checking with people, friends, dealers, reading articles on the same on the net and magazines before coming to a conclusion of buying a 3 door refrigerator.
I am planning a new buy shortly which has narrowed my preference for a 3 door one basically for the following reasons
1) 3 door refrigerators are low on energy consumption primarily because you tend to open only those sections in which you have work and not the whole refrigerator thereby saving on electricity cost
2) 3 doors are normally good to stack up food and beverages for a longer period of time because of its storage capacity
3)They are extremely useful if kids are in the house because they tend open the fridge quite often resulting in energy loss since it is a 3 door the kid will be in a position to open the section that is reachable by it (provided he does not use any stool or chair to open the top sections)
Though expensive than a 2 door one it is worth a buy because a fridge bought is always there in the household for a minimum of 10 /12 yrs or its lifetime.Hence going in for a bigger 3 door one is sensible
Tips : colours do matter its always advisable to go in for a lighter shade that blends with the interior of the house
