There have been many interstate marriages in India over the years and yet it still creates wonder and new stories.
This movie is very believable and almost real though the writer and his wife insist its a fiction and only inspired from their own real life story.
The boy is almost heroic and most of the trouble in the plot is caused by others - his mother, his father, his girl friend’s parents and even by his girl friend. He is always the stoic strong guy who stands strong in all the mess going around. I am not sure if this characterization was deliberate, but the story sure is told from the male point of view.
What is refreshing is to see that the Hindi movies today have an audience for a different style of movie making.
