2-States is a good one. In fact, I liked it better than the earlier two. Call Centre and 3-Mistakes. While the storyline in predictable and that surprise element missing, it is still a wonderful read. However, I would thank Chetan Bhagat for inspiring an entire generation into reading stories. I have read a few books of his genre namely I too had a love story, Of course I love you, Anything for you ma, am and found them delectable reads. The best part is that these books come for just around Rs. 100.
There was a time when there were no Indian authors who could be read. Ms. Shobha De (with due respect to the lady) was the bestselling author with her absolutely nauseating stories at Rs. 350. I had read a book titled, Strange Obsession by her and wondered how such a story could be even published. Ditto with Khuswant Singhs The Company of Women. Alternately, we had the literary heavyweights like Amitav Ghosh, Salman Rushdie and all whose stories we hardly understood. It is nice to read Indian contemporary easy read stories and I must thank Chetan Bhagat for all that.
