the interesting part of this song is that it is composed in “Raga Shivranjani “ and this Raga is considered to be the most difficult to sing. even Kishore Da refused to sing it first time but Pancham was sure that only he can do justice. just try to sing this song when u are alone at home I bet it would leave you grasping for air. the song also sung By Lata Ji but in more sublimal manner. this song is a lait motif of Kishore’ style and I always find myself dumbstruck whenever I listen this song. amazingly Kishore Da’s entry is quite late in the song but what a entry. you cannot help yourself of mesmerization.

do I have to say anything for this song. the zenith of Romanticism . Kishore used his own invention i.e. Whistling in this song and result was amazing and even today this song is considered to be the finest example of expressions

this song is the classic of Hemant Kumar and he actually composed it for himself but when he watch Kishore Da, humming the song he gave up the idea and kishore created a miracle . overnight this song became the epitome of lover’s dileema.
