Soo Ra Sang sooooo delicious

I’ve been to a bunch of places all over the world and being a foody( a strictly good food only foody, mind you), have not spared any restaurants. at times even going beyond my means;) in terms of affordability(is always a debatable topic;). This one is one of the best korean joints I have visited so far, world over.

A pancake with a light soya flavored dip, Dr. Eom Yong serves starts the experience which leads to a lot of surprises that follow. Then follows the courteous lady’s checking out what suits you. She goes to the extend of accessing what might please you. At this point the on-da-house salads flow in on to your table. a varity of vegitables, both marinated for days together and fresh, with subtle tasting sauces and pastes. cellary, fresh lettuce, sprouts(my favourite), greens etc etc. your table is full and you find yourself making room for these salads all around you including where you sit.

ah that reminds me I need to mention the seating, where you are supposed to remove you footwear before you park yourself on the wooden seat which goes around the center table with a grill in the middle. a lil difficult to get it(pretty similar to a sushi joint), but once you park yourself I doubt you would think of getting out till you are stuffed.

main course includes all non veg you can think of including the BEST pork I have had in(lets say) around the world. The bul go gi and the galbis are a treat. fine in taste ofcourse will be a disappointment to folks with tolerance to enhanced spice extravaganza of the normal indian cuisine. friendly advice: Folks who like murderous spicy, fireworks in the mouth types should definitely keep out:)

once you are done, which to me is always a difficult decision, they serve you with a cinamon drink. grand finale to a grant treat.

Per heads’ around Rs 400 which is worth every paise

what bowls you over is this restaurateurs passion to serve you the best with stringent quality control in a world where 5 star restaurants lack this discipline.

This little Korean authentic restaurant is a place you need to check out if you are in Bangalore. It is situated on wind tunnel road. take a right turn from airport road(the old one ofcourse) after you go past Manipal hospital heading towards the old airport, in front of ISRO main gate.(make sure you take a right and not a left here cause if in case you drive into ISRO they would shoot your a**;). go down this wind tunnel road for approximately 700 Mtrs and you find this on your left, a blue background board with Soo Ra Sang written on it. The restaurant is on the 4th floor of this building. have great fun friends!
