3 Deewarein - Highly Recommended

Nagesh Kukkonoor’s “3 Deewarein” tells you the story of three convicts, A lady Journalist and The hidden truth between them.

The Cast

Nasseruddin Shah – sweeps Full marks in the acting Department.

Jackie, Nagesh, Juhi Chawla & Gulshan Supports him well.

The Plot

The Film begins with Nasser landing up in a Central Jail in Hyderabad. Where he meets Other Convicts Jackie & Nagesh . The Jailor Gulshan is very good person at heart, tries to develop some new ideas in the administration of the Prison. Juhi is Documentary filmmaker who wants to make film of convicts who are punished with death sentence.

Juhi talks with the three convicts about their past & finds out whether they are guilt or not?. She helps Naseer to Elope from Prison & then follows an Interesting Twisty Climax.

The Crew.

3 Deewrein excels in the Screenplay where the writer has lots of surprises in the climax.

The editing is sharp. Cinematography and Art direction doesn’t have anything new to say. The Film entirely shot in Jail Premises give you a realistic feeling

The Director

He may be known for his Hyderabad Blues, Rockford & Bollywood Calling as a Director with a difference. This time Nagesh Had come up with a real solid stuff far better from his earlier works. The film has International Standards and is sure to win Awards in future. Nagesh has successfully developed his film without loosing the suspense till the end. The Pre Climax and Climax are the best part of the film. At times the story telling method seems to be influenced from “M Night Shayamalan”. Nagesh has succeeded in etching out each and every characters in the film making them feel like real life characters.

Overall

3 Deewarein is a Must see flick for all those lovers of Mainstream Cinema. The Story, The Performance from lead cast and The Director’s treatment had made it a classic movie.
