Give me some SunShine, Give me some Rays, Give me another chance wanna grow up once again.
One Line which is close to every one’s life. Both the book and the movie are awesome. I was pretty much excited about the movie because I found the book very interesting. I had full confidence on Raju Hirani and Aamir and I was sure that the movie will be as interesting as the book.
Synopsis: Friendship and Determination the two major aspects of this movie.Do what makes you feel good and strong.Don’t follow the crowd , makes the crowd to follow you. Story revolves around the 3 friends who met in Engineering college having one goal.Sotry of true friend who helped each other to get their own desire and goal.Suddenly one day one friend move somewhere and rest of the two guys decide to search him.
Plot: Aamir, Madhavan and Sharman three close friends who joined Imperial College of Engineering to become an engineer. 3 Closed Friends but their thoughts and desires are different. Aamir lives his life in his own way and he is not keen about becoming something, his one aim is to get good knowledge, Madhavan wants to become Wild Life Photographer but due to his dad preassure he is purusing his engineering study, Sharman had family responsibility and he wants one good job at the end of the course. The funda of aamir’s life is whenever you have any problem just say ‘ALL IS WELL’ and because of this funda so many time other two guys Madhavan and Sharman surrounded with big troubles.Whether it is changing the room or getting lower marks in exam or jumping from the 3rd floor.Nothing stopped them to finish their studies and at the end all 3 were succeed to achieve their goal.Along with the study, there was another interesting fact and that is the romance of aamir and kareena. But at one satge after the convocation , Aamir left the place and disaapear.Now the other two friends decided to search him and the movie proceed in flash back and at the end 2 Idiots meet their 3rd Idiot.
Performance:
Aamir : Aamir truly deserve the ‘Perfectionist’ Tag .He is mind blowing. The Kind of performance he has given is superb. Despite of being 40+ Years old, he managed to like a college boy. Perfect balance between emotional and comic scenes. The timing is awesome.As we all know that he is the usp of the movie and he perfectly carried the movie. You may feel that you are watching yourself on the screen.
Madhav and Sharman : Nice Performance by both of them. As we all know that Madhavan is south superstar and he managed to maintain his stardom with his balanced performance.Whether it is comic scene or tragedy scene, he was very good.Same way with Sharaman Joshi, as we all know him as a comedian but here in this movie he perfectly carried his character of confused and tensed student.If Aamir is Base of the movie then both Madhavan and Sharman are pillar of the movie.
Boman Irani : Another nice performance by Boman.I feel no one else can play the chaarcter of the Principal.It is like Story writer has kept Boman in his mind while writing this character.Nice Performance and honest justice witht he role.
Kareena Kapoor : If Story and screenplay doesn’t have so much flaws then even if anyone have small role also then he or she can fully justify the role and same thing happen with kareena.Good work by her and she had succeed in making her presence on the screen.
All the characters have done good work and fully justified their character.
Direction and Screenplay : Thanks to Raju Hirani for his nice work. I will give him full marks for two things:
1)For nicely adapting the book in his own way.I mean to say instead of copying the entire book, he made some changes in the original story and that effort is remarkable.Its always tough to make a movie on any novel.
2)For nicely Portraying the campus life and commenting on the Education System.Through the comic way by using the character Rancho(Aamir) to raise the voice on education system and the race of becoming first in the exam.Practical knowledge is always better that bookish knowledge.
The perfect balance between the scenes and nicely sycronized.The combination of flashback and the normal flow is awesome.All the comic scenes are hilarious and the campus life makes you animated about your college day.The kind of conviction and the flow of the story is awesome.Not a single scene makes you feel bore.Perfect combination of Comic and tragedy scenes.
Music : Nice Music. All the songs are perfectly picutrised and perfectly integrated in the movie.Music helps movies to proceed in moderate speed.’All is Well’, ’Dooby Dooby’ and ‘Give me Sun Shine’ are good song.
Dialogue and Cinematography : Hilarious and Meaningful Dialogues.Nothing bogus , everything is perfect and match to the scene.
Good work by the cinematographer.Shimla and Ladak location and scenes were nicely captured.
Things Which I didn’t like :
1)Second half is bit emotional and completely different from the first half.Just like two different track.
Best Scenes in the movie:
1) First Day of Aamir in the College.
2)Hopital Scene between Aamir, Kareena.
3)Friendship scenes between Aamir, Sharman and Madhavan.
4)Sppech by Chatur(Silencer) on CollgeDay.
5)Delivery of Child in the College Campus.
Overall it is a must watch movie. Don’t compare with Munnabhai series, it has all and all different flavor. Watch it for its message and treatment.
Try to be smart rather than labourious.
