This is a movie I enjoyed through out and laughed my heart out after a long time. I think the dialogues are the best thing in the movie. witty and natural. everyone acted well, the comic timing was awesome, and the songs are also choreographed imaginatively. however, like any other mainstream bollywood movie, lots of things were just absurd. say, for example, Amir taking a bath in the college lawn.or all the three heroes are getting away with submitting their exam paper late. the invigilator could have easily found out the names afterwards by matching their faces with the college administration data base!
The movie tried to deal with the loopholes in our education system. in fact the central character Rancho is an imposter. and that I think is the biggest take on the system. a system where anyone can go to any school or college irrespective of if he is a valid student or not! anyone may take admission against my name! well, to some extent, it may happen. because in my case, I dont have any photo in my matriculation or higher secondary admit card!(however, the CBSE and ICSE students are less fortunate in this matter as they have photos).
Then comes the question of giving extra time to your projects and in examination hall for a genuine reason. there of course lies a point. but then, if you do not follow it, then you may allow some not-so-genuine cases as well. and it teaches discipline as well.(which is continuously decreasing in the student community).
Rest of the things I fully agree. specially the central theme. that the parents should allow and support their offspring to go for a career of their own choice.according to their ability and interest. instead of trying to fulfill their personal dreams through them.
As I said, the acting is superb. and the dialogues are even better. Madhaban is great with his voiceover and Sharmaans best moment is when he answers how an engine starts and stops.so, what are you waiting for? go and watch the movie. if you have already had it once, you can go for even another round!
