Whatever our high brow intellectual and professional movie reviewers say, the movie is a total paisa-vasool for the aam junta like me. The pranks are funny and the protagonists make the movie very lively despite a somber message in the movie.
Aamir and the gang are really funny, and make you remember your mad campus days but the real scene-stealer is “Chatur” the mugging class mate who is inadvertently the victim of some of the most hilarious pranks. His dialogue delivery and acting is superb and he remains with you long after you have left the theatre.
I will be eagerly awaiting this newcomer’s future performance.
On the flip side, Boman Irani looked similar from his Munnabhais Dr. Asthana avatar. Sadly, Sharman had little to do in the movie. Also the end scenes when Aamir and co. help deliver a baby look a bit far-fetched. Agreed that neither Aamir, nor Madhavan pass off as 20-something year olds but who cares.
Thery were great and we connected well with the impish Rancho and the sarcastic Farhan. I as well as the audience were busy laughing our way throughout the movie.
