3 Idiots

The art of smart movie making. This time Raj Kumar Hirani is back with his new Jadu Ki Jhappi- “All Is Well” and has recreated panache on the celluloid. Loosely based on Chetan Bhagat’s Five Point Someone, 3 Idiots is a movie of universal appeal. Not every time an ardent cinema watcher gets to see a well knit and a soul-full story.

Thanks to Raj Kumar Hirani for serving us with one of the finest movies in the recent times. And not only to us but hit starved Bollywood, with movies like Qurban proving to be a debacle at box office. Recent times have shown a paradigm shift in the art of film making, presentation, story depiction in Bollywood. Going with the current trend, I had my reservations with Raj Kumar Hirani, who once wooed the masses with the Munnabhai series, if he could keep up with today’s generation of vacillating urbanized, liberalized Indian consumers. Eembarking upon the a perky and nexgen theme, under the scrutiny of eyeballs which look for realism, intelligence encrusted under the layer of entertainment is a Herculean task and kudos to Raj Kumar Hirani for lucidly delivering a wholesome entertainment package.

A perfectionist by nature, Amir once again proves that he is league apart from his competitors. No one could have done a better justice to his character Roncho, as Amir had. Both Madhavan and Sharman have shown flair towards their respective characters as Farhan & Raju and have fitted so amicably into the script that you actually feel biased and accept that, no one could have been better. Kareena has a very little and a subtle role to play, but this time you completely fall in love with her. All said and done, the film actually belongs to Raj K Hirani, for handling the entire plot with perfection and portraying the underlying moral of importance of chasing dreams**.
