All roads lead to 36 China Town. At least for some innocent guys and girls. So here you have a young boy and girl, leading a lost baby there to get a big bag of dough. But when they reach there, the lady of the house is murdered. They panic and try to flee. Unfortunately, its their bag in which the lady owning 36 China Town is packed later, the body, minus the soul. The prime suspects: this pair with their skirmishes, a husband who has mortgaged a lot of his property with the murdered lady and his wife might not have any qualms sending her to the mortuary; another husband and wife, the husband getting hold of a bag thinking its a bag full of moolah, but its actually the accursed bag and they are left holding the baby; the playboy of the town. These APPEAR to be guilty. But there are others too.... All of them had a chance to kill the lady and all of them lie for one reason or the other. Husband suspecting wife of adultary, one trying to save the other, false alibis, childish attempts to befool, to get rid of the incriminating baggage....what you have is a movie full of comedy inspite of murder and suspense. Love angle is an important point of focus. So romance, suspense and comedy --these are the hinges on which the movie swings. Farcical and loud humour, yes, but if the rut of life has been too much, go to a theater for late night show on the weekend and you will enjoy the movie, as I did. The starcast is large. All big names- Shahid, Kareena, Akshay Khanna, Paresh Rawal, Jonhy Lever, Tanaz, Upen Patel....if youve not seen the movie try guessing which role is played by whom. In any case, its a fast paced movie, and you wont get bored. The suspense isnt much considering that its obvious in the sense that one whos going to inherit money is likely to kill but the audience get to know that at the end. So who is the killer? Paresh Rawal, paired with Kareena ( Thats a joke). But then, if movies always had brainier stuff, who would read Agatha Christie? Music is ok.
