36 China Town, a much awaited movie from Mukta Arts by directer-duo Abbas - Mustaan has finally arrived in the town.
Abbas Mustan has some of hits under there belts like Khilaadi, Baazigar, Soldier, Ajnabee, Aitraaz.

The Story
Raj and Priya lands in Goa with missing kid of a Casino Owner Sonia, for the reward 0f 25 lakh in return. When they reach the mansion of Sonia , they found her murdered. They run away from there but have to comeback to bungalow as they forget their luggage in Sonia’s Mansion. They are caught by the police and soon become the prime suspect of the murderer.
Later more people come in as suspect of the murder, as somehow they visit the bungalow for some reason or other on the murder night. Those suspect includes play boy(upen Patel), two couples (Johny Lever/Tannaz Currim, Paresh Rawal/Payal Rohtangi) and caretaker of the mansion(Dinyar Contractor/Roshan Tirandaaz).
Now who is the killer that comprises rest of the story.
My Opinion
You can watch this movie with two prospective.
a) As a comedy
b) As a suspense thriller.
But as the promo was aired every one will watch it as a suspense drama. There comes dissapointment.On the name of suspense there is nothing. Though story is not like that you will know the main killer , but there were no good reason and links between the killer and the story.
So if you are expecting it as suspense drama, forget it.
Now as a coomedy.Yes you can watch this movie for some comic situations. Watch the introductory scenes how Upen Patel flatters beautiful women. I bet youngsters will get new idea of flirting from him. His one liner was good and makes you laugh.
Similarly the one liners and comic timing of Shahid Kapoor was good. He shows a promising talent in comic timing. And if this is not enough, we have Johny lever and Paresh rawal.But those two characters are not exploited as they should be.
But on the whole movie was not what it was expected.
Though Abbas Mustan ’’Baadshah’’ was also a thriller cum comedy , but that was far better than this one as that movie kept you engrossed.36 China Town fails you to glued to your seat as this is what Suspense thriller are made for.
So I hope now you can better judge , whether to go for this one or not.

3. Shahid Kapoor comic timings are great
4. Look for the beauty of Tanushree Datta and Priyanka Chopra.
5. Chemistry between Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor is promising.
On the music side, only one song ’’AAshiqui’’ sung by Himesh Reshamiya was good. Other song was not needed at least in the movie. They just hampered the flow of movie.
One thing I couldn’t understand , during the production of the movie every bollywood based website was saying the major part of the movie is being shot in Thailand. Then how come whole movie was narrated in GOA??

Now that I think it the bigger mystery rather than the story of 36 China town.
