Visited this place to check it out.
Super duper. The location, the space, the range of equipment, the facilities, the staff - I was highly impressed.
Their treadmills are unique. The lady demonstrator showed me how I can tune in to music, watch TV or even have a simulation experience of treading on various terrains while doing the drill. I watched myself running through a forest in Germany - quite XBox like.
The music was loud and there was a DJ operating it. There were certain fitness equipment which they claimed are available only at this place. There were beefy trainers around. There was even a health bar, offering nutritious food.
The downers. The over enthusiastic staff and the prices.
I got a distinct feeling of over selling here.
There were maybe half a dozen people who came and asked me how my experience was after I had taken a tour of the gym.
There was a desperate eagerness to make me comfortable and have the form filled and engage me into a warm chat.
There was this contrived technique of completing all the sales talk and then pretending as if alls done, waiting for me to ask about the main thing - the membership charges - before informing me about it, as if thats - the - least - important - thing - and - hey - I - had - actually - forgotten - about - it - and - thanks - for - reminding - me - dude.
There was this prehistoric dinosaur-era, misconceived sales - skill question posed: "Would you like to pay by cash, cheque or card?" - when I had barely learnt about the prices.
But thats only a personal opinion. It didnt wash well with me, it mustve hit a bulls eye with scores of others.
What bore me down were the membership charges. Rs 36000 a year plus taxes. It might be a terrific value for money for some, for me its unattractive. Considering the other fitness centers in the vicinity, considering that it is not exactly close by to my residence and considering that they do not offer any personal trainers for even a month, only a fifty percent discount would do the trick.
PS: Why is their website link not working?
