I guess everyone will have their own list of favorites. I am not much into’heavy’ stuff, even then picking up five was extremely tough. The way I made my choice was by imagining what books I would want to have with me if I was to marooned on island indefinitely(or alternatively, if I was to endure a life sentence. I would want it to be for noble cause but my friends say it would be for some felony).
My five are(not necessarily in that order except number 1):
To Kill a Mockingbird
Atlas Shrugged
Catch 22
Hitchhikers Guide to Galaxy
The Lord of the Rings
I would desperately like to add’Stories of Ray Bradbury’ a thick volume I have, but I guess it would not quite qualify as a book in the sense used here.
If I jog my memory a bit, I am sure even I would make some modifications to this list. Feel free to comment on my selection - would love to be criticized by like minded people.
