I am going to give this a try

I have yet to write a review on books or movies simply because I don’t know how well I will do on it so bear with me while I give this a shot.:)

These are listed in no particular order of favorites just as I think of books I have enjoyed.

I have always been a big fan of Stephen King and have read tons of his books. Some are a bit weird, but I like that. I think the idea of his books is to scare you but I don’t scare easily so most of his books do not have that affect on me.

One of his that I remember from way back that did scare me was’Salems Lot’ which takes place in Maine as a good portion of his books do.It is a book about vampires and whether vampires exist or not I don’t know but I started reading this book late one night and could not put it down.

By the time I was finished with it, it was late and I had shivers going up and down my spine and kept peeking in the basement to make sure there were no vampires there. LOL!Since, I have re-read the book and it still scares me so if a book can do that to me then I highly recommend it.

This may seem like a strange one to add in with other books but the Bible is my most favorite book. It gives me strength, courage and the will to go on no matter what happens as I have a deep rooted faith. So far I have read it, all the way through 7 times and each time I discover some thing I have overlooked before. I feel that having faith and inspiration in todays world is vitally important.

Flowers on the wall by V.C. Andrews and actually the whole series of that line were wonderful books. This one being the first of the series. It deals with incest and how such things can happen. These books kept me hanging on the edge of my seat and I had to complete the entire series. Coming from a past of abuse and incest, they were excellent reading to me.

The diary of Anne Frank is another book I will always remember and a true story. I am sure most people have read this and I am trying to not give away plots of any of the books for people that haven’t read them. This review after all is just about my personal favorites.

There is a book called’Kill me Tender’ which was written by a local artist and is one of the best books I have read. It is fiction yet is believable at the same time. On the cover is a big pink cadillac and the story is one of ELVIS playing the part of a detective.

Okay there you have my 5 favorites and possibly my only book review. Time will tell.
