In this world of ours, for example we call a GAY person a queer because he/she has an opinion/belief/practice that does not match that of the majority .
Quite similarly what is the top 5 for me may be the pits for you and vice versa. You can dismiss this as quid pro quo, but I beleive as a message board, we should try to be objective as hell and consign all things subjective to the trash bin.

Bank Book or sometimes called Pass Book . with technology coming in, the poor bank book has been replaced by quarterly statements, trying living without a bank book.
Telephone directory or Telephone diary - just like the bank book has been replaced by the digital diary or the ubquitious palm top. imagine all those numbers of long lost friends and what you though love’s
Assignment Book - I used to be in trobule every time I missed taking mine to the school. Though have enjoyed long spells during classes actually outside the classrooms
Ration card or as it is now known the PDS booklet - Try getting any thing official without having this baby with you
And of course the Passport - thats a pretty important book too .
